Dragonfly model for the film -> stage that we are up to

So far we have modelled the dragonfly and have applied a test rig on it to see how it moves. We still have to fix up the texture (we have assigned one to it to see how it would look, but now we have to go back and move the uv points around).

As well we just have to finish up on some paint weight... not too hard at all. Below are images of snapshots we took in Maya.

In addition, we have added some dynamics to the tail of the dragonfly, but can't show the video since we are still figuring out how to put vids onto the blog.

Before i 4get to mention, we are in the process of researching on how the dragonfly moves. so we are watching dragonfly vids in slow moooootiiiooon... ill post up the animation when it gets done.

Update - Name of project

Our name that we have changed to from 'The Ultimate Origami Town' is now --> '17,000 Folds'

jks jks, this is just a suggestion.

We are still deciding on this.

we've found out that the number '17' represents victory, and adding three zeros to the end of it, enhances the message, and ultimately makes our message stronger.

- it refers to how many folds our main character, Luo, will create when it comes to his ultimate showdown.

Here is what we found out about the number 17:

Now, let us consider the number 17, which refers to victory. Seventeen is not only a prime or indivisible number, but it is also the seventh in the series of prime numbers (i.e., 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17). The number 7 signifies completeness, which adds to the significance of the meaning of the number 17.  Again, Bullinger explains (page 258): “In like manner seventeen being the seventh of the series, it partakes of and intensifies the significance of the number seven. Indeed, it is the combination or sum of the two perfect numbersseven and tenseven being the number of spiritual perfection, and ten of ordinal perfection. Contrasted together the significance of these two numbers is clear; and when united in the number seventeen we have a union of their respective meanings, viz., spiritual perfection, plus ordinal perfection, or the perfection of spiritual order.”
